Our children spend their time with caring and gentle adults who are fun to be around and who genuinely love being with them. Our nursery staff know all the children really well. All our staff are well qualified for their role. Everyone is trained in first aid and safeguarding. All our staff are encouraged and supported in further training in general childcare and in more specialised areas such as Special Educational Needs and also in practical skills like food hygiene.
Nursery Manager
My passion for childcare started at home as I have a big family with lots of younger cousins to care for and their laughter, boundless energy and curiosity inspired me to take this career path. I started at Hadden Hill in 2022 in the Preschool room as a Trainee. Since then I have gained my Level 3 qualification, and am now working towards my Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner, as Room Leader in the Tweenie room.
Each day is new and exciting and I love to see the children's faces light up as we explore through dancing, singing and nursery rhymes. I love to have fun with the children but am also committed to nurturing their growth and development at such an important age, ensuring they are happy and confident as every day is a new opportunity to make an impact on their development
Baby Room Leader
I'm a qualified Nursery Practitioner and have recently completed my level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner qualification. I really love working with the babies as we can enjoy lots of cuddles and sensory play together. I'm a big Disney fan so also always ready for songtime with the babies. I have a teenage boy of my own who I really enjoy spending time with at the weekends and on holidays.
Nursery Teacher
I joined the Hadden Hill Nursery in April 2023 and love it here! I enjoy spending time with the children and watching as their personalities develop. As Nursery Teacher, I run a timetable of planned group activities for our Preschool room to ensure we are catering for the children as individuals and supporting them to be ready for school with their early phonics and math skills.
I have a PGCE in Education and a degree in psychology. During my training, I was lucky enough to have had the opportunity to work in disadvantaged schools as well as volunteering at a school in Nairobi. This experience taught me the importance of learning through play and allowing children to develop their curiosity through stimulating continuous provision
I love cooking and it makes me so happy when the children have enjoyed my food and lots of empty plates come back to my kitchen. I have four children and eight grandchildren which keep me very busy as I am very family orientated and love to help take care of everyone. My family will tell you that I make the best quiche in the world but I do love cooking all sorts of dishes for anyone who needs feeding! I worked in a care home previously but it's wonderful to get to cook interesting food from all over the world with lovely fresh ingredients and encourage young palates to like a wide variety of tasty nutritious home-cooked food and help the children to flourish and grow into strong, healthy youngsters.
